A brand new live Group Coaching Programme with Emma Seymour

So you’re here. You’re really thinking about doing this.

I applaud you… because even considering this move takes courage.

We live in a drinking culture. To live (and enjoy your life) without alcohol, for any length of time, is a rebellious move, a power move. You can do it.

I know this year has been challenging for you, in one way or another, or maybe in hundreds of ways. The stress has led many of us to drink more alcohol than we’re happy about and to wonder about having a break from booze.

Yet, most people won’t consider actually doing it.

You are thinking about it. (You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t.) If you want this, you can do it.

Because YOU are powerful.

You’re an original, a one-off. There will never be another you, with exactly this life, and this story.

You are unique, and the world needs you, now more than ever.

I want you to feel and know how powerful you are. To realise your true potential.

To know yourself better, and to love what you see.

To know who you are, and what you want, and to live your life on purpose.

Yes, a month without alcohol will absolutely give you health benefits, helping you sleep better, lose weight if you want to, and enjoy better relationships (and probably save you quite a bit of money, too).

But for me, the most exciting part is that you get to feel so damn proud of yourself because you’ll be achieving something that most adults think they could never do.

Most will never even try. But you are here. YOU are HERE, right now.

What will you decide to do in this moment?

What's Included?

4x weekly group coaching sessions, including time for Q&A (Mondays @ 7-8.30pm BST). These are live sessions, hosted by me on Zoom. If you can’t attend live, you can pre-submit your questions and you’ll get a replay recording. Each one is themed but you’re welcome to bring whatever is going on with you that week.

A private, supportive Facebook group for that all-important community element. I’ll be in the group every day during our thirty days together, to answer questions and encourage you.

Weekly video content (also available as audio and transcript) created just for you. These are informal lectures, to help you learn more about alcohol and your body, your mind, stress and anxiety, relaxation, sleep, habit changes, and your overall wellbeing.

I have created 4 guided meditation recordings just for you, designed especially to support you during these 30 days. These recordings will help you to sleep better, relax and de-stress more easily, take care of yourself and enjoy socialising without alcohol. These audios are yours to keep forever, and I honestly believe they are worth the investment all by themselves.

4x weekly relaxation sessions, involving guided meditation, gentle movement and breathwork, and/or yoga nidra (yogic sleep, oh yes).

You do not need any experience or prior knowledge of yoga or meditation. They are guided and safe and available to all, regardless of physical age or ability.

And, they will make you feel amazing.

How do I know if this is for me?

This programme is perfect for you if:

  • You would love to take a break from drinking… but 30 days seems so long!

  • You've been drinking more (and more often) during lockdown than you’d like to admit, and you’d be pretty glad to nip it in the bud

  • You're curious about exploring - and maybe rethinking - your relationship with alcohol

  • You want to sleep better, look better, feel better; you want to be more patient and present with your loved ones; and you’d love to have more energy, clarity and focus… and you have a sneaking suspicion that a month off booze would really help with ALL of this!

  • You’re feeling stressed, anxious and exhausted, and you’d love all the health benefits of a month off alcohol, plus new ways to relax, and actually take care of your own needs

  • You feel the need to give your body and mind a chance to rest and recharge before winter and the festive season

  • You’re interested in a sober life somewhere down the line, and you want to find out more about it, and give it a try in a supportive community

This programme is NOT for you if:

  • You're drinking enough that it would be dangerous for you to stop without medical supervision. If you’re in doubt about whether you could safely stop drinking by yourself, that’s probably a sign that you need some help with this. Please consult your doctor (or get medical help) before stopping drinking alcohol. Please know that you’re not alone and help is available.

  • If the thought of stopping drinking is truly terrifying to you, this probably isn’t for you. If this is how you feel, please send me a message (hello@emmaseymour.co). You're not alone in feeling this way, and I understand, because that’s how I felt too. I need you to know that there’s nothing wrong with you, it’s just that this specific programme is not designed to help you enough with where you’re at right now. I can support you in other ways, and I can offer advice, and I’ll be glad to do so. Even thinking about stopping drinking is courageous, so you can exhale right now, and give yourself a break. I see you, and I love you. Seriously.

  • If you’ve been diagnosed with clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or psychosis, or if you're taking anti-depressant medication, please consult your doctor before taking this programme (or any other).

  • This is NOT therapy. I am a qualified, experienced, professionally insured clinical hypnotherapist, but I am not a psychologist, nor a psychotherapist, nor a medical doctor. I can’t offer medical advice.

  • This is NOT 1:1 coaching, it’s a group coaching programme. I do work 1:1 with clients, and I’ve also trained as a group coach. No 1:1 sessions are included in this programme. However, if you sign up to the group programme, then you can book supplementary 1:1 sessions (coaching or hypnotherapy) at a special discounted rate, just for participants, during the programme. This is deliberately a group programme because the supportive community environment is important to this experience.

  • This is emphatically NOT a recovery programme for dealing with addiction. If you feel like that’s what you need, please seek medical help. This is the NHS page for support if you’re worried about your drinking and need to stop, and this is also a good guide.

Macmillan Cancer Support set people the annual challenge of going sober (or soberish) for the month of October to fundraise and support their incredible work

Right now…is this you?

  • You've signed up to go Sober for October, but you’re dreading it/nervous/anxious about it, and you’d love some support

  • You want to sign up to Sober for October, but you’ve been too nervous to commit (until now)

  • You’re signed up to Sober for October and you think it’s going to be fine actually, but you’d love to really make the most of it

  • Or... maybe you’ve committed to stop smoking for Stoptober, and ditching alcohol for the month will make this much easier for you

You’re in the right place: I designed this programme to be the perfect support and accompaniment.

Plus 10% of the proceeds of this programme go straight to Macmillan.

Hello, I’m Emma Seymour, and I’m so thrilled you’re here.

I’m a clinical hypnotherapist, coach, workshop and retreat leader, and a Qoya teacher. I’ve practised full-time as a hypnotherapist since 2013, and I’ve done a lot of training and qualifications.

I live in London with my partner, and I’m blessed with a wonderful stepdaughter.

I’ve been on my sober journey for about five years now. I was sober for 50% of last year, and I properly committed to a life of freedom from alcohol in January 2020, so that’s just over 8 months at the time of writing this.

It’s been the best eight months of my life. Yes, even in 2020!

If I had one day left on earth, what would I want to do with it? I’d want to let as many people (and especially women) know that it’s totally possible (and probably much easier and more fun than you think) to live without alcohol. Far from ‘giving up’ booze, I've binned it. And in so doing, I’ve gained my freedom and my confidence.

This is your time...

I am so glad you’re here now. I’m so happy you got this far.

You deserve freedom. And peace. And joy. And love.

If freedom, peace, ease and joy feel like true desires for you right now, come on in.

You’ll be so glad.

This bears repeating, because it’s SO important:

If you think you might have become physically dependent on alcohol, stopping overnight without help could be harmful. And by harmful, I mean dangerous (in the most serious cases, unsupervised alcohol withdrawal can be fatal). I don’t want to scare you, but I’d rather scare you than be irresponsible by mincing my words, so here we are.

Please, please seek medical help if you’re really worried about your drinking.
